元元不絕

今天整理國中英文當中，表示方位（位置關係）的介係詞。

前後、左右、上下，這些相反的方位，我會放在一起。

（一）前後

in front of 在…前面

There is a cat in front of my car. 有一隻貓在我的車前面。

behind 在….後面

Don't stand behind me！ 不要站在我身後！

在…後面，也有看到有些人會用in back of，但是主要還是用behind表示比較多。

（二）左右

on the/one’s left 在左邊

Let me introduce the speaker sitting on my left. 讓我來介紹坐在我左邊的講者。

Please take the second one on the left. 請拿左側第二個。

on the/one’s right在右邊

My wife is the woman standing on my right in the photo. 我的老婆是照片中站在我右邊的女人。

Please take the second one on the right. 請拿右邊第二個。

（三）上下

on 在…上面

The naughty guy is standing on the desk. 這個調皮的傢伙正站在講桌上面。

under 在…下面

What are you doing under the table? 你在桌子底下做什麼？

（其他）

next to 在…旁邊

Can I stand next to you? 我可以站在你旁邊嗎？

between在…之間

Peter stands between two beautiful girls. Peter站在兩個漂亮女生的中間。

The mountain is between Pingtung and Taitung. 這座山在屏東與台東之間。

除了方位之外，between也可以指各種層面上的之間，例如兩個時間之間、人與人之間、一個範圍之間。

I weigh between 70 and 75 kilograms. 我的體重界在70～75公斤之間（一個範圍之間）

There is no distance between you and I. 我們之間沒有距離（人與人之間）

The restaurant is closed for dinner between 20：00 and 20：30.這家餐廳晚上8點～8點半之間會關門。

除了表示方位的介係詞之外，表示地點、時間的介係詞也很重要。
